Guest guest
Dear Kathy - Those two clowns are so sweet to each other -- I can tell that Yo Yo knows that Cleo does not feel well. Yo Yo will walk up to Cleo (who spends most of her time asleep or lying down) and gently sniff near her nose; if Cleo does not stir Yo Yo will simply touch her nose and then walk away until Cleo is awake (knowing Cleo needs to rest). Of course whenever Cleo is up and feeling good she will still compete with Yo Yo for my attention -- they are both very much " Mommy's girls " -- when I sit on my bed at night to read I have the two of them vying for the winner in the " who will she talk to and pet first/more contest " . We two old babes just came back from a walk -- as Cleo is feeling perkier today. Whenever the weather changes (warmer=more so or colder=not so bad) she seems to have a few really bad days. Since we are colder again she seems more comfortable (I suppose the lower humidity helps). While working I am cooking her some brown rice, millet, barley and split peas -- as she has lost too many teeth to eat/gets gut trouble from dog food. She has garlic breath worse than we do -- as she can no longer eat raw apples to cleanse her breath. That's OK -- I will continue to kiss her every day (for as long as I get to have her) anyway. Thanks Kathy for your concern -- I am working on being ready to let her go. Regards, > > > Yes! lea is 6 years old and believe me, quite the princess lea, > and > > our only girl kitty cat. Guest guest
linda I can tell how much you love your dog and cat! They are lucky to have you and I am sure they know just how much you love them. My smoky feels so loved and gives it in return. If I even so much as sniffle he is on my lap to see what is wrong. He always trys to get to my tears if I am crying. What a little lover! and he lets me give him endless hugs and kisses. I know that he will never make it to old age, but God has already allowed me five years with him. I know it will be hard when he goes, but I know God will see me through as He gave me a supernatural peace when I had to put Toby to sleep (he had just turned 10 and had lung/lymph cancer. Toby was always there for me after my husband died and was my very dearest friend! Dogs (and cats) just know how to be the greatest friends! hugs, kathy > > > > Yes! lea is 6 years old and believe me, quite the princess lea, > > and > > > our only girl kitty cat.
