Guest guest
Wow Rogene! This is outstanding. I love hearing people talk about recovering -- getting better. This is so positive and I thank you. I had left another forum because there was so much talk about the problems and not about getting better. In fact, when I talked about ways I was trying to get better without a lot of narcotic pain killers and sleeping pills, I got slammed pretty bad. I am not a doctor, and can only talk about my experience. But it seems that living in a fog, sleeping during the day and not at night is giving up. I don't want to accept that I will be be sick or incapacitated the rest of my life -- certainly not without a focused effort to do anything I can to get better! Just curious -- do you have or did you have Hashimoto's thyroiditis? M > 1. Getting my breast implants out. A big #1! > > 2. Treating Candida - i.e. eliminating sugar and > taking probiotics > > 3. Guest guest
Molly, I was hypothyroid . . . they didn't give it a name at the time, just some pills. My doctor still asks if I'm taking a thyroid supplement every time I go in . . . Even though she's my doctor. She acts like she can't believe I don't need it any more! From the outset, I've decided to try anything that I think might help, as long as it doesn't hold the possibility of making me worse. Back then, I met women who rejected all alternative health care. . . They scoffed a me. . . Well, they are sicker now than then, and I'm doing great! We have to keep on fighting back . . . concentrating on the positive and doing what we feel (via God's divine guidance) is right for us. Guest guest
Rogene, Whatever works, right? Did you ever have your throid (TSH & free T3 & T4) checked after you stopped? Just curious. You feel okay though, right? WHat did you do to get better from the thyroid problem? I think you are right that God's grace has a lot to do with our getting better...and the willingness to work at getting healthier! > Molly, > > I was hypothyroid . . . they didn't give it a name at > the time, just some pills. > > My doctor still asks if I'm taking a thyroid > supplement every time I go in . . . Guest guest
Molly, My doctor checks my thyroid function annually . . . since getting the Magnesium issue straight, I feel better than I have since getting my implants 27 years ago . . . regardless of aging 27 years! As far as what I've done . . . I've tried so many things, I can't attribute getting better to anything in particular. I sincerely believe that God leads me to what I need, when I need it. . . I trust that He will take care of me. . . Eleven years ago I had a dream where God told me to turn everything over to Him and that He would take care of me, my family and my enemies! . . . I woke up with the dream fresh on my mind and readily agreed. I felt as though a tremendous weight lifted immediately! .. . . At the time, I had just lost my job, marriage was rocky, and I was at my sickest! God has managed many miracles for my family. Right now, I'm praying for an important one. I learned today that my mother (91) will be dying soon. She's been preparing to go for some time. I think it will be a relief for her to know she's almost there. Her mind is great, but her body is worn out. I'll see her tomorrow, tell her and ask what she wants to do. She can opt for IVs to keep going until my brother can come or she can opt for hospice care. In the meantime, say a little prayer for us too! Hugs and prayers, Rogene
