Guest guest
Diane, I understand the hard predicament you are in, and wish you the very best with all of this. It costs money and a lot of time to go through a complete explant, and unfortunately not all can do this, at the drop of a hat or a rupture of an implant. Who would have known what pain in they would be in the future? I never thought I had gotten myself in such a mess, when I was going through getting them removed. Just know- we are here to help and support you. I will keep you in my prayers. Diane, are you showing any types of illness? Diane's surgery Hi Ladies Just wanted to let you know that they have moved my surgery up to the 22nd instead of the 29th. I am kind of glad to get this ruptured implant removed, on the other hand I am sad that the ONLY way I can do this with Mentor is to have them replaced. I am trying to find an attorney in Houston,TX or firm that works with the saline implant stuff to see if maybe there is a way that later they can get mentor to just let us get them REMOVED and put back as close to natural as possible. If anyone knows of anybody working on this, PLEASE let me know.....Until then , please say your prayers........I am very scared..... Thanks Diane :-)
Guest guest
- Diane I am sorry that you are having problems with Mentor paying for the explant unless you are reimplanted. That seems really unfair. I will say a prayer for you. I still think if you can at all afford it, (or get a loan) the best thing would just to be get them out permanently now. Why risk another surgery in the future? Sometimes we make mistakes and they cost us alot. But it might cost you even more if you get reimplanted in terms of future suffering and financially by possibly another surgery in the future that mentor won't pay for either. Believe me, the cost of having just an explant is a drop in the bucket compared to the cost you will pay in lost health and joy of life if you replace these implants and they ruin your health. I will say a prayer that God guide you to the path He wants you to take. Pray and trust Him for the right answers! We are here for you whatever option you choose.
