Guest guest
Neptune Dreaming by Rhonda Rance This knowledge I impart is true in every sense, Its pulse rings in the shadows of what we know as "The Heart". Like a lone drum beating somewhere on a distant dawn, Or the serene chimes of bells softly ringing in another lifetime. Real, surreal, yet lucid in every way. Was it something I thought I thought just then? Or the memory of something I thought I felt a thousand years ago? The answer then, a flash of insight. So brief, yet so bright. Fleeting and elusive. Momentarily flirting and skirting the edges of recognition, Touching, teasing, daring to be caught, Like the smell of sweet perfume drifting lazily on the hint of a breeze. Its mystery a promise of deeper things yet to be discovered. I seize it then. Capture it in its entirety, and a door opens on some level. A childs face suddenly appears and beckons for me to follow. She solemnly whipsers "You'd better come with me". Unable to resist, I obediently follow the gently floating child with a mixture of curious interest and disbelief All around me stars and cosmos, Everything and nothing. All and naught. The Paradox. I look down to see her colourful footprints fading slowly on the ether. Rainbows of light, and I am awestruck at their brilliance. I look down at my own footprints fading into obscurity behind me. Truly amazed. She stops at some point known only to her for its significance, And creates a door of light. She steps back and points a delicate finger through the mystic doorway. Compelling me to look. Unsure, I slowly come to float beside her and, again without thought, do as she bids. I look. I see a swirling fog of colourful images of my life. An eddy of irridescence almost too bright to behold. She takes my hand and I know I am safe As I become completely mesmerized by the hypnotic ebb and flow of motion. I instinctively close my eyes and feel myself fall. I become one with the vortex. Part and parcel of the whole. All and naught. The Paradox. Falling.......... Floating................. I dream. Or is it?
