Dearest ,

I don't know that Still's particularly brings on depression as a condition of

the disease but do know that it does with pain, life changes, added stresses as

with most any chronic illness.

I have had many times over the years of the type of depression you are

describing and it's not associated with my bi-polar disorder but rather the

complications of living with Still's. It is extremely hard when you throw in

the mix of financial hardships as well as not being able to work when often we

would love to for the money as well as the social interaction and feelings of

self worth we get while doing something we feel is useful.

Please keep sharing with us and talking about it any time. You know you can

always email me personally at mellymelt@... well I forgot you have my

addy and when home I'm always on and off the computer day and far into the

evenings. I also take daily psych. meds but medications as with our Still's

medications can't always fix everything and sometimes just sharing with another

understanding person is the best medicine. And I know tomorrow is your birthday

and I wish you can find something happy for yourself to do, weather it be to sit

outside under a tree with a tall glass of something nummy and eat a cupcake and

read a good book or just take a long soothing bath or shower and wrap into the

softest robe and good smelling sweet things you have to pamper yourself with.

Whatever it may be, please do it for yourself and for me to think of you having

some joy. Or crank up that stereo for that favorite tune and dance even if it's

with your fingers on the table.
