Hello friends,

There was a cancelation in the surgery schedule for Monday (tomorrow)

and they offered it to me, so I guess I get these bad boys out

tomorrow bright and early. I'm a bit nervous, but mostly I'm relieved

because I thought I was going to be on a waiting list for a few more

months.

Since I had breast cancer and a mastectomy on one side, I decided to

go ahead and get a gluteal flap reconstruction (they take some

flesh/fat from my butt and use it to rebuild a breast). The surgery

will be about 8 hours long. I went around and around on whether to do

any reconstruction at all, but I decided to give it one last try. I

think it's kind of ironic that I didn't go the route of reconstructing

using my own flesh at the time of my mastectomy 2 years ago, because I

thought the implants proceedure was so much easier..........Wow, did I

make the wrong choice! Well I hope this might mark the end to all of

this horrible RA, Sjogren's, etc.

Thanks for all the wonderful advise. Keep it coming! I don't think a

day goes by that I don't learn something new from all of you.

God Bless you all,

Tammy (a)
