DeTOX 'd water, plastic food storage & safer microwaving

Dear Ladies --

I have friends who love their RO water systems -- so I am not saying

they are no good. Children's put us in touch with makers of an even

more effective and ridiculously expensive system about 17 yrs ago (do

not remember its name now). I do agree that the seemingly opposing

theories can confuse people about what to do. I liked this

particular book because it offered several options -- and inexpensive

ones to boot (like the charcoal faucet filters and the relatively

simple detox supplement plan -- it seems that far too many recommend

the most expensive solutions).

I had forgotten some of the good habits I had learned while tending

to our son's illness -- had returned to poking veggie bags and

putting them over plates to microwave veggies and thaw or warm meats

(we grill a lot -- often cooking several meals at once, which we then

freeze in 1-meal portions for the 3 of us). I felt awful when I read

and remembered that I should not be doing that. It is so human to

fall into the easier ways of doing things (as it takes less time).

Thanks to you ladies I now understand why our son was taking daily

probiotics for so many yrs -- drs are not big on explanations -- and

have started them for myself (I can feel my stomach calm down from

the antibiotic dose after I take the probiotic -- it is almost

amazing!). As I have been taking the Grapefruit Seed Extract for

about a week already I assume that my gut agrees with that one -- and

the probiotic has been an easy sell as well. Next I may add some

supplements to boost my thyroid function/absorption of my thyroid

meds -- I may talk with you in a few weeks when I run out of my multi-

fits and probiotic (will probably try Primal Defense -- we have used

Klaire Labs product which must be kept in the frig) -- may also try

some Bromelain (since I had a bad reaction to the MSM) for pain until

I can get my surgery/recovery over with.

In between work I am going for a walk -- my old bones are going out

with my poor old, very arthritic dog -- as I have been lured by the

beautiful blue sky here. We old girls might even wash my car a

little later. Hope you all do something you enjoy today.

I always use reverse osmosis filtered water, as recommended by many

holistic practitioners I have seen.

Cooking anything in plastic releases toxins into food. It is highly

recommended that plastic never be used for cooking either in an over or a

microwave.
