Guest guest
Thanks, , I think this is a great group of women. We will have differences, Thank God! But we are all in this together and support is out there for those who seek it. Guest guest
, You expressed it so well! . . . In all the years I've been involved in implant support, I've never seen such a productive group. All too often groups exist for sharing each other's misery and anger . . . This group shares their journey to health. It makes all the difference! Love to all, Rogene
Guest guest
what a wonderful post! This is such a wonderful support group! I have been here for three years and i can attest to the great ladies on this site..and you are certainly one of them. You help so much with all your informational and encouraging posts! This group may have glitches now and then, but what group doesn't? Any time you put people together there are bound to be moments where there are disagreements or hurt feelings. The fact that we always manage to get past them attests to how much we all care. And truly this is a place where we can all come and be understood and accepted for our unique problems. Like you, my family doesn't understand at all what I have gone through or continue to go through. Like you, they think I should just get on with my life and forget I ever got sick, Because I am so much better, they don't even believe I still have problems----especially with gluten! my mom keeps encouraging me to cheat on my gluten free diet. So I especially appreciate your support there julie. > I just wanted to say, I am so pleased to be part pf such a wonderful, loving group of women. This is the best support group out there. Guest guest
Kathy, and your posts are downright, right on! I have been here now I think about 2 and half years (you made me think) and it seems like I have known you so much longer. You are a great inspiration and also are a wealth of valuable advise, from health to tips and also esp when it comes to being grounded and keeping the peace! We both know the one thing the Devil kept trying to get me on. But you always helped me out. I thank you for that. I know you have been through a lot, but you sure don’t seem to wear it! That's a good thing. Also, consider me your gluten sister, while you try this out. The first three months are the hardest, the diet isn't really, there are so many foods to eat! it’s the "what do I cook, or eat? Where do I shop? What do I buy? I have to read all these labels! Arg!" But once you get your brands of cereal and pastas, and condiments down and know exactly what to shop for in regular stores or natural, life becomes so much easier! I promise. I shop fast like I used to! Stick to it, for at least 4 months, no cheating and see if you notice huge improvements. If you cheat you are only fooling yourself. Then see how you feel. Also, write down all your daily symptoms now, so each month, you can see if little unnoticeable ones are now gone. It helps to keep you grounded. Keep a list! And remember, go to Outback steakhouse, they have a menu just for gluten free! <Most their foods are prepared fresh without fillers! I am treated so good there. they know all about it, and I don’t feel like some kind of weirdo! I love eating out there. Its in Indiana , the one I go to. Maybe, one day, we can meet up for a delicious dinner Love Re: Wonderful Group! what a wonderful post! This is such a wonderful support group! Guest guest
Thanks julie! Wow, I can't believe that Outback has a gluten free menu. It is my favorite restaurant! Do you have to ask for a special menu? I usually just get the prime rib with salad and baked potato. but I don't think I can use the au jus though, can I? This eating out is frustrating! Ijust found out today that the chicken salad that I had been getting inthis one restaurant had wheat in it as well as their spinach bisque soup. Now Imight as well not go there anymore because that was the one thing I thought I could eat. but you are right---there are alot of things you can still eat. it is more a matter of finding where to buy them or finding a restaurant that has items you can eat. Most waitresses just give me a blank look when I ask if something has gluten in it! thanks for all your support! love, kathy > > I just wanted to say, I am so pleased to be part pf such a > wonderful, loving group of women.
