Guest guest
I took the littlest pup to the vet yesterday and she showed me how to tube feed her. Yuck....Thank God I haven't had to do that though. She started sucking on the bottles and momma's milk seems to be coming in pretty well, so she nursed on her too. It's still touch and go, but she's much better today than she was yesterday. The vet even told me that sadly enough, she would put her to sleep for me. I cried so hard. I just couldn't do it. I chose to keep feeding her every few hours and see if she will live. I think I chose right. Even if she does end up passing, it won't be for a lack of effort. Thanks again for all your prayers. I know God loves the little animals. , the vet checked her calcium and electrolytes and that was it. But it seems that the milk is there now. It wasn't yesterday! Kathy, she will drink the puppies formula only! I've tried every other way of getting water to her. She just turns her nose up! the vet suggested lactose free milk instead of the puppy formula, so I'll try that mixed with some water. What's really strange is she is peeing every 2 hours where she normally only pees 2 times a day. Where the heck is the water coming from? She got some fluids at the emergency vet on Friday night. Maybe they're still coming out?? Love you all! Pam
