Denial about having Still's

Hi ,

I have not greeted you personally yet... so Hi and WELCOME to the Still's

family! You are DEFINITELY a member even if you dont have Still's. My mom is

just as much a member as I am, she attends the Vegas Conference each year with

me and is one of the gang, as you are!

I just wanted to say that I hope and pray your son will embrace this illness and

what it means for our life, very soon. I say that from the perspective of truly

feeling thankful and blessed to have it. Yes, its hard, painful, and very

challenging a lot of the time. But for me it has really made me who I am, forced

me to find the things in this life that really matter and forced me to

understand what my real worth is found in. I think to have an illness that

limits physical ability brings an opportunity (granted, a mandatory one) to

learn what makes us worthy as people. Is it how much we can bench press? Is it

how much money we earn? Or is it the quality of our character, the way we treat

others, the oppotunities we seize to help? I'm glad I was pulled from the

superficial fast paced empty path I was headed down and brought to the world of

living with my Blessed Dragon... Some day I hope to defeat him, but while he's

here I will embrace it.

Best wishes for your son,

Lori in Cali
