Guest guest
Hey My Friend! I appreciate your thoughts and especially your prayers! And, thanks for the laugh.....when I read the part about you donating your head because you are a blonde, I about broke another rib laughing!!!! I heard from my Doc's Office yesterday.....he said that there doesn't appear to be anything " acute " with my liver, that the report mentioned " a fatty liver " (heh heh)....so, you are probably right when you said that you were surprised my enzymes weren't higher.....I still have a concern with my dear old liver putting the pressure on and through my rib cage....I am going to ask the doc about this on Tuesday....I had a bone density scan late yesterday...it should Osteopenia in my Lumbar Spine and, get this, should NORMAL, in my forearms!!!??? HUH?! Yeah, that's what the PA and I said.... He was surprised, especially with the breaks in my wrists.....so, he said he will get the bloodwork reports from the doc today and get back with me.....he is especially looking for either a Vitamin D deficiency or Metabolic Bone Disease or both....I must confess, what is Metabolic Bone Disease? He said he doesn't want to start me on anything like Fosamax or Actinol until he sees the test results....like maybe there is something we need to treat first....he also gave me the name of another RD nearby...one with whom he has had much success....all my RD wants to is give me a Prednisone tapering schedule....he won't start me on anything like you guys are on....he said there have been no double-blind studies on these othere meds for Stills Patients.....you know, so what....if it works, it works!!! Soooooo, I think i'll see if I can get in with this guy....Anyway, how ya doin Dani? Although you are in my thoughts and prayers,I do worry about you. Please post back when ya can. Love Ya My Friend!
