Went to see my favorite ob/gyn yesterday to have an exam to see why I

have stopped having periods and if its related to the implants. He

was apalled to see how sick I have been and offered to help!! Great

man--chief of staff of a womens hospital here in San Diego. He has

helped me with a lot including the loss of two babies, one at 7 mos

gestation. Anyway, after his kind words of encouragement, I was on

the way home and was hit with something awesome! (I have been trying

to teach my 9 and 4 yo daughters this but never seemed to grasp it

fully myself). Through all the trials of being so sick for a few

months and facing having the boobs I wanted so bad removed, I now

know that my value as a good human being, mother, wife and a friend

does not balance on whether or not I look like a 20 year old super

model with a perfect body and boobs!! There is a lot more to life

than being noticed for that. Hurrah. Hopefully I can get my health

back so I can share this with my two girls.

Love to you all!!

KathyG,

You are SO RIGHT! . . . The media bombards us with

images that result in our feeling inadequate,

regardless of our age, looks.

Most young women don't realize the images they see

aren't real! As a result they strive for perfection

that never has, never will exist. . . so they are

doomed to be forever dissatisfied!

I hope your doctor will help you, and will help spread

the word about the dangers of implants . . . Maybe you

could put him in contact with Dr. Gilbert Lee in SD.

Hugs and prayers,

Rogene

When I was in my OB/GYN's office on Wed. I was looking at a magazine

that is published here in San Diego entitled, " San Diego Magazine " .

It has lots of local stuff and subjects from around here. The

interesting part was the cover stated " Top 20 Doctors " in San

Diego...a survey where all doctors rated their peers. Dr Lee was

included in the 20. Pretty impressive!!

I hope that you get your health back too! Three years ago I thought

I was going to die and would leave my precious 13 year old all

alone. I am so much better today. still have some problems I am

working on, but basically I can live my life again. Three years

ago, I couldn't even go to the mall without the greatest degree of

effort. Now I can shop all day most of the time!
