Guest guest
Gale- Check out this website. It helped me a lot. Click here: Explantation Surgery: Advice and Information I just had explant and a mastopexy two weeks ago. I went from an A to a C and now I am back to an A. I do not remember exactly what my breasts were like before implant because it was seven years ago. I am extremely happy with my results. My implants were so big that they often made me look fatter. Now I feel more natural and feminine. I have the same scar around the areola that I had for the implants. It is fading away nicely. When I called my implant doctor and asked about removal...he scolded me. He said my implants were completely safe and he does not ever recommend removal or replacement unless they rupture. I told him how sick I was and he was even more angry. So...I went to Dr. Kolb in Atlanta. Just make sure that your doctor takes you seriously and is not going to rush this surgery. Make sure it is someone who has done this procedure a lot. Thousands of doctors have put in tons of implants...but they have no idea how to remove them properly. I don't know why detoxing would make you feel worse. I started my detox program after my surgery and I feel great. I still have lingering symptoms but nothing like what I was feeling before. Good luck Gale. I know this is a tough time for you...but it will be worth it to be healthy again. Even if it does not cure all of your symptoms right away...it will be such a relief to know that you will never need another surgery again because of this. No worries about ruptures, infections, capsular contracture, etc. It is a truly liberating feeling. Christy
