Guest guest
Gale, how long have you had your implants? I've been told if you've had the implants two months or less, there won't be much of a capsule to remove. Any longer than that, and I would seriously consider having them removed. I had my implants 11 months and the capsules were removed along with the implants. It took my surgeon 4 hours to get everything out, as my capsules were thin. With saline implants, you run a risk of bacterial/fungi infection in the capsule, along with the possibility of chemicals from the shell embedded in the capsule. That's why it's so important to have it all removed. There are reports of women who have not had the capsules removed, and they continue to be symptomatic. I started some detox before explant, but it was not that helpful at the time. If you have an infection inside the implant, it is difficult to treat until everything has been removed. I also decided against a lift since my insurance would not cover removal. I look very close to my preimplant shape. I may do a lift later on when my children are much older. What are your symptoms? hugs, Beth > > I am going to talk with the surgeon who placed my implants on Wed, > 12/01/04 about removing my implants. > What does it mean to remove the implants " en bloc?
