Guest guest
Any of you ever notice a decrease in seizure activity when getting rocephin (antibiotic) shots for infection? Just curious... Debi
Guest guest
My daughter's seizures are not so often that I'd be able to tell a decrease due to a rocephin shot, nor has she had a rocephin shot in several years.... In fact, if you ask my mom, she will swear that it was the rocephin shot that caused all my daughter's seizures and problems to begin with. She got very ill at 5 1/2 mo. old and they gave her that shot, actually 2, one one day and the second the next. She got better but only for a short time and then got sick again and again they gave her that shot, then it was not long after that that she had her first seizure and they just continued and progressed after that. No doctor has ever backed up what my mom thinks, but that won't change her mind... lol she is positive that was the cause, even now, nearly 5 years later she mentions it anytime we've had some seizure activity or end up back in the hospital due to prolonged (status) seizures.
