Guest guest
Rogene, I'm reading Detox or Die by Sherry . She mentions Kyolic because it has actually had studies done on it. I'll try to look up the links for you, http://www.inutritionals.com/healthyliving/kyolic.shtml Perlmutter is a holistic neurologist in Florida. hugs, Beth > Stacie and Beth, > > IMHO, you can't beat fresh garlic for potency. > However, if the taste/smell is too much, you'll do > better using a good garlic product than none at all. > I've heard good things about Kyolic Garlic. Guest guest
Beth, I'm not arguing with you! . . . It's just, for myself, I find that fresh garlic works unbelievably well. But, I (and my hubby) can only stand so much! I may be soon looking for a replacment for fresh garlic too! I've had to sleep in a separate bedroom lately because of my garlic! A good garlic product like Kyolic would definitely be preferrable to none at all . . . Garlic is a miracle food! I'm going to read the website! Thanks, Rogene
Guest guest
Beth, I'd start slow . . . Since cloves vary in size so much, I'd hate to specify the number of cloves. Say, start with a quarter teaspoon . . . if that goes down without too much distress, do another quarter a couple hours later . . . You'll likely experience some stomach distress when it starts working. . The idea is to keep it tolerable so you can keep dosing. Keep gradually upping the dose until you know it's working. Think of it as sending an army in to do battle with the fungal organisms. They're not going to go without a fight. After a while, you can up the amount to as much as you can tolerate. . . Patty says 15 cloves a day are theraputic . . . Five cloves is a many as I've been able to get down. Some women cut it in pieces, chomp on it and swallow. . . I like to spread it on a piece of bread with a little mayo, then top it with a small piece of meat . . . or put it on a salad. The crushing action is what activates the beneficial chemicals. . . The chemical will dissipate if it sits too long, so crush it just before eating. Also, if it's heated, the chemical dissipates as well. When I use garlic, I can see a distinct improvement in 24 hours. . . Keep in mind that this is killing off the bad stuff . . . so drink a lot of non-chlorinated water to flush the waste products . . . Then, start supplementing with probiotics. Once you get fungal/yeast problems under control, a clove a day will help keep the nasty stuff away. Hugs, Rogene
