Guest guest
lu, You can start Fungal Defense right away . . . you take just one capsule the first day. . . Then increase by one capsule a day until you reach eight capsules. . . If you feel you are herxing too much, slow down. By the time you finish the bottle of Fungal Defense, you should be ready to start Primal Defense the same way. Both Fungal and Primal Defense are organisms taken from the soil that we would normally find on fresh produce if it hadn't been fertizized, herbicided and pesticided! . . . i.e., if we were eating fresh produce from fertile soil. The organisms replace those destroyed by a suppressed immune system and antibiotics. They are perfectly safe . . . However, the die-off of the yeast-like organisms they cause produce a toxin that can cause you to herx. So, go slow and drink plenty of good water. You can get some excellent information in Jordan Rubin's book, Patient Heal Thyself. It's available online and in health food stores. Guest guest
, I think it is entirely up to you! if you can start on it right away and are eager to do so, go for the gold and see how you feel! Love, Go GLUTEN FREE while sick/on antibiotics?? Dear Ladies --While at Whole Foods checking out probiotics, I stocked up on gluten free cereals -- by the way there is a quinoa flake cereal and a hot cereal blend of brown rice, corn bran and buckwheat. I was relieved to see that I would not limited to rice puffs and corn flakes (which I find wayyyyyy to sweet for me).Is it better to go ahead and go gluten-free now (I have just had a bladder and/or kidney infection diagnosed and started antibiotics yesterday -- the reason for the probiotic as I am already sick to my stomach from the antibiotic as usual -- look forward to the probiotic's calming effects -- may have a medicinal glass of white wine tonight as well) OR to wait until the end of next week when I come off antibiotics (hopefully)? I just know someone will know what I should do.Regards,
Guest guest
Rogene, and I saw major improvements once on Primal Defense, even with hard to treat micoplasma infection. its great to hear testimonies. how long have you been on it now? Also, I love their women's daily optimal formula! Before getting pregnant, I was on almost all garden of Lifes products. I take Primal Defense, Women daily optimal formula (multi), their calcium formula, and enzymatic therapy garlinese. And of course fish oil in winter months, then I do flax in spring and in summer. garden of Life has so much in their multi's that I cut down down on a lot of other supps! Thank the Lord! Guest guest
Dear and Rogene - I decided that, since neither of you were warning me against doing so, that I might as well go for it. By last night I was just tired, tired, tired and not so sick to my stomach (and the pain pills were making the pains in my lower left side much milder) -- so before I went to bed (early) I rearranged my breakfast shelf in the pantry to stock only the gluten-free cereals. My dog will be happy to eat up the open boxes for me of wheat, barley and oat cereals (we old girls have our cereal together every morning -- I sprinkle some for her as I sit down w/my bowl) -- I tell myself when I return from the gym that she is so happy to see me because she loves me so much (not because she is going to get some cereal in a few min). I ate the " corn puffs " cereal from the health food store just a few min ago (when I came back from my work out) and was delighted that they actually taste good. Corn flakes are way too sweet for me -- these crunchy-on-the-outside corn puffs were inexpensive and taste a lot like rice puffs otherwise=kind of bland by themselves but pretty darn good with milk (even my rice milk) on them. THANKS for your help (especially the reminder to take a probiotic as I know it is really helping)-- now the countdown (intend to be gluten free for 2 months to see) -- wonder if I will find that gluten has been causing some of my gut (and other?) troubles. Have a great weekend -- hope you are both feeling well/better yourselves! Guest guest
I like the corn puffs too Lynda! My favorite. I also have organic eggs for breakfast with a slice of brown rice bread and fruit. Or a wonderful smoothie, made from whey protein, ice and organic milk, and fresh strawberries & blueberries and flax seed oil.MMMMM! Be very strict on it ,depending on how senstive you are, even small amounts per day, like even a gram-an cause you to continue to react and stay ill. If you want to know the truth, stick to it like glue! Love you and Good luck! >From: "goingtolunch" <goingtolunch@...> >Reply- > >Subject: Re: Go GLUTEN FREE while sick/on antibiotics?? >Date: Sat, 11 Dec 2004 17:08:31 -0000 > > > >Dear and Rogene - > >I decided that, since neither of you were warning me against doing >so, that I might as well go for it.
