Diane,

There may be some attorney's willing to take a case,

but they are few and far between. One of the group's

members is an attorney. She made an attempt to get

something going, but apparently, it fizzled!

I was told that the larger legal firms worked out a

deal with the manufacturer's to settle older cases. .

.. Part of the deal was that they wouldn't file new

cases. This was after telling us that cases for the

children would be filed when they turned 18! Lie, lie,

lie!

In part, tort reform (especially in Texas) has so

severely limited what an attorney can make by taking

your case, that it's not worth their while. It will

probably take a big class action case to do anything .

.. . even then, the attorney's get the big bucks and

the clients get only small amounts, and then only

after an extended time.

It's apparent from the number of defective implants

being put in women since 1992 that the manufacturer's

aren't worried about getting sued. One manufacturer,

when sued, simply doesn't show up in court, and the

judge DISMISSES the case! How they can get by with

that? Who knows?

Not a pretty situation for the women!

Hugs and prayers,

Rogene
