Guest guest
Dear Ladies -- I also read that antibiotics should be taken for women who are " implant-impaired " (my little joke for today) before any dental/oral surgery (crowns, root canals, etc). I do not remember where I read it -- probably in the book by Bruning called " Breast Implants: Everything You Need to Know " . During the last few months I read several very good books about implants and recommend all of them. I had a crown put in about 6 yrs ago -- wish I had known about this then -- will be sure to get an antibiotic if any more work is suggested. Regards, (lu) > This is the clip I read about dental procedures: > > " Infection is possible at any time after surgery. Patients with breast > implants should take antibiotics for 24 hours around dental procedures to help > prevent infections. " > > Nothing to do with metal but still strange. Just another implant myth.... > > Christy
