Guest guest
Hello, Just sharing my experiences in case someone else who just starting their Still's Trek finds it useful. While on the third week on MTX, I started having chest pain and pressure, evenly distributed and worse when breathing deep. At the same time was running noticeable fever and had general " cold " symptoms. Called RD, they wanted someone to listen to me immediately so sent me to my PCP who was available on short notice. He did not hear anything funny but given my other symptoms gave me antibiotic (he went to great care to make sure it does not have drug interaction with MTX - forgot the name, derivative of erythtomicin). My " cold " symptoms cleared out and fever disappeared as well, my regular symptoms (swelling, joint pain, rash, etc.) unsurprisingly stayed. My RD also told me to skip MTX this week. However, pain and pressure in the chest remain. For the record, I did see cardiologist last month and I can't believe one can have heart attack for weeks in a row. By the way, I did have a moment like someone else described - when your throat " stops " functioning and you skip swallowing for a second or two. This is in addition to sore throat and throat clicking I had for months. Cheers.
