I received this in my e-mail (from a relative, not SPAM). Could it be true?

In fact, it sounds too good to be true:

After Reading THIS, you'll NEVER look at a banana in the same way

Hi Francesca:

The average banana contains 105 calories. (Bowes & Church's). Two

contains 210. Enough energy to jog a couple of miles.

If it takes someone 90 minutes of strenuous exercise to travel two

miles after eating a banana there must be something VERY wrong with

bananas!

(And, by association, very possibly with the rest of

the 'information' in that piece. Just my opinion, after quickly

reading it. I may be mistaken. Wouldn't be the first time!)

I believe from watching e's match with Capriatti last year, that cappy should have tried a liquid sugar, IMO.

I know from watching my BP when treadmilling that BP goes up as available glucose falls (I get tired) and a boost of sugar (sucrose) will bring it down. One oz of sugar is all I need for 5 miles at 3 mph. That's less than 2 bananas at 289 kcals.

The best source of potassium per calorie is brewed coffee and many foods are better than banana. Not that hard to get in a veggie diet. Also maybe the potassium to phosphorus content should be evaluated.

I just checked another of the 'stats' in your banana piece.

According to Fitday.com's data, one medium banana supplies 2% of

the 'Daily value' for iron.

" High in iron? "

In any event it may become irrelevant. Difficult to believe if you

have not read about it before ...... some banana-studying scientists

say that the banana may become extinct in about ten years because of

fertility problems. Difficult to believe I realize, but I am sure a

Google search would turn up related material. I first heard about

this a few months ago.

Thanks Suzi and Shari. I'll pass it on. I was thinking there was a

list that had A is for Anemia, B is for ..., C is for ....all naming

healing benefits of bananas. This is however useful talk here too.

Just got done Reading Liane's post on apple cider vinegar,something I

personally have used for years.And hope all will try some of the uses

and have great success!And then realized that I have other

information that I pass along quite often.I personally have 4 kids

ranging in age from 8-17 and have always used homeopathic remedy's to

treat ailments when possible.These besides the vinegar are my main

ones that I always seem to turn too.And if any of you have Grandma's

old cure all's,I am sure they would be welcome information.Brightest

MEDICINAL VALUE OF HONEY

This is " almost " unbelievable!
