MY rash was very itchy with the third flare...ea it was th third flare.

Each flare was a bit different than the other, The first was the worst. But

that's me. Usually, the rash was lacey and not itchy.

I hope that helps

Hugs

Liz

Ps

Have you heard at all from Kirk? He has been quiet..or away..maybe

My rash was VERY very very itchy!!!! I always thought that description on the

Still's

Sight should be changed. It was quite red and painful and I often would scratch

Until there was blood. It would wake me up at night also. Anyway hope that

helps!

Hi everyone. Can anyone advise me if they had a VERY ITCHY rash when they were

first diagnosed with their original big flare?? My son's rash was very severe,

over his arms and legs and so itchy it made him go crazy. We have read that the

Stills rash is not itchy...so we are getting confused a bit. (Many of you know

he was recently diagnosed...but perhaps it's not really Stills??? ) Anyone else

who experienced the severe itch with the rash? (His rash now is being treated by

some type of cream from the dermatologist and it is no longer itchy nor hardly

visible at all)...

Thanks everyone. You are the experts.

Hi guys, I admire your view on things. I'm getting there but some days are

harder than others.

Today I had a setback. My throat swelled way up. Got a shot of Decadron

and a prednisone pack.

Well, hopefully tomorrow will be a better day.

The GP didn't know if it was an infection or Still's. She thought Still's.

The throat swab was negative for strep but she ordered me an antibiotic

anyway. She thought if it helps, great, if not, I see the RD on Wed (2 days) and

he can decide if I do or don't need it.

OK, I'm beat, hope you are all having a blessed day.

hugs

Yes, actually I had at least twice and this was years before I was actually

diagnosed. It was such a bad, horribly itchy rash I almost though it was

poison ivy, which was hard to believe since it happened end of January here in

NJ. And I wasn't outside at that time, the docs eventaully just said " contact

dermatitis " which means, itchy rash that they have no idea what caused it!!!

that happened to me twice, and it was so bad I couldn't sleep (Amen for

Benedryl!).

Hope this helps....

My rash was also extremely itchy and covered both arms and legs. I had an ER doc

tell me it was poison ivy. My PCP

was baffled by it and tried Singulair a very high dose of Allegra and

triamcinolone ointment. Was sent to a dermatologist

who told me it was dermatitis or a false negative for lymes. Then when I started

having the joint swelling and pain my PCP

decided I needed to see the town rheumatolgist who had luckily seen two cases of

it and started treating me. But the

itching was probably the most awful part for the first 2 months I thought I was

going to scratch the skin from my

entire body and go crazy from lack of sleep.
