Thanks, Kirk. I'll check into Medi-Gap. Never heard of it before. Will do.

I really want to try to save enough money to go to the conference in Las Vegas

this year. Will really have to try to save for that. Haven't been able to go

before.

Thanks again, Welynda

Welynda, have you looked into a Medi-Gap policy? What it does is

eliminate

your co-pays and co-insurance. The down side is that it costs more and

you'll still need a separate prescription plan. The good side is that in my

case the $89.00 outlaid up front each month is far cheaper than what I would

spend on co-pays & co-insurance! I am willing to bet that this insurance

arrangement has saved me over $3000.00 over the last 24 months.

I also finally applied for prescription assistance (my scripts run around

$700.00/month) and received that, and that has made life a bit more

tolerable. Seek out whatever you can, no one can fault you for it.

I don't know if you own your home or not or if your state has property

taxes like (the greed mongers here) in Pa, but if you own apply for an

assessment reduction. I intend to now that they have re-assessed us, I just

need help filling out the " book " of forms they want filled out. I was going

to apply 3 years ago, but didn't understand the damn paperwork and threw it

in the trash. I have no choice now, I need the reduction.

Hope this gives you an idea or two. Adios, Kirk
