Guest guest
Hello all, My name is Cherie Perkins and I live outside of Minerva Ohio on a small hobby farm. We have a number of goats; we milk 3 of the girls for our personal use. I make cheese and we drink real milk every day. Ohio does not allow raw milk sales of any kind - including for pet use. I fell in love with farm life as a child growing up in the city and visiting farmer friends. At some point we felt the urge to leave the hustle and bustle of outer suburbia and sought a small piece of property on which we could sustain ourselves. We are not self sustaining yet but are working on getting off grid this year. We have our little hobby farm going and do not aspire to be real farmers but we have our goats for milk, chickens for eggs, ... we got a guard llama last year and he is working out very well with the goats. We have 19 goats including a nice group of bucks. The goats are more 'pets that we milk' than livestock. I've been enjoying reading the posts on the list. Regards, Cherie
