Financial relief in different ways

Hi all,

I know it's late, late. No, I'm not up because I wanted to be but because of

this very issue. I've just spent the last three and a half hours looking for my

birth certificate to show proof of residency for a propane grant from the

government for this fiscal year. Point being is there are programs for many

forms of assistance and you don't have to be a welfare or social security

recipient to qualify. Look into your local help center or energy assistance

programs in the phone book or call the local utility company for gas and lights

to see what may be available in your state. We get propane here so that is what

the grant is for and also for IEHP or weatherising your house for those who

qualify, even if you rent.

Money has always been tight for me because for many of the years since I was

disabled at 19 I was not maried, had a child and could not work. Skrimping has

always been the norm but also creative living is not so bad at times when you

thrift shop. I have some of the nicest things over the years purchased from

thrift stores, even in our small town. I always shop sales for almost

everything even when I have money and I try, try to be thankful for the roof

over my head and the food in my mouth. My mother and father taught me all else

would follow but I found not so for medical bills. I am obsessed with paying

bills and my credit rating in my life and fully understand the stress that goes

along with that standard. It can be such a bad thing as well as good when there

isn't enough.

So, with that said, it is time for this old gal to go to bed.

Night and good day all,

Re: Money: OT

Welynda, have you looked into a Medi-Gap policy? What it does is eliminate

your co-pays and co-insurance.
