Guest guest
My insurance is going to cover it because my lymph node biopsies showed that I had abnormal B-cells that indicate B-cell lymphoma, so I have to take it IV twice a week for that, and it has been used in some Still's cases, so we hope to kill 2 birds with 1 stone. Not to scare anyone because we are all different, but my abnormal biopsies were from taking Enbrel. That is why the only thing I have been on since the surgery in October is steroids. As soon as my fever clears I get to start the Cytoxan. I'll give you a quick background on me, I was officially dx in March of this year for insurance purposes, for the last 2 years I have battled this ugly monster, I have major organ invovlement, lost all of my stomach and part of my colon about 16 months ago, stopped working due to the Still's, we really didnt know that at the time, but after a review of my case and biopsies that's how they figured it out. I also lost my gallbladder, spleen, appendix and some more of my colon during the next surgery. And recently in October I had about 6 lymph nodes removed from my neck and 2 places in my mouth, didn't know they could sew up your tongue, don't recommend that one if you don't have toLOL. Probably more than you want to know, but everyone is different, I just didn't get help soon enough, mainly because I thought it would eventually go away. But, my moto is never give up, there is always someone worse off than you are, and my Oncologist calls me the energizer bunny, he said you just keep on going. I guess you have to find the humor in everything. Lots of Hugs, Hope you find your magical treatment soon!!! ________________________________ To: Stillsdisease Sent: Saturday, December 6, 2008 10:58:34 PM Subject: Re: About Rituxan ( ) P.S I never heard of Cytuxan? . told me that it costs $6.000 , her co-pay is $ 60.00 but since you only get it every 6 mos.. is kind of evens out wt. the rest.
