I'm so glad to hear that! What fillings did you use? What did the

kids come home with?

My father used to make this for us as well. Mom made homemade apple

pie and the like. You could say it's in my blood, literally. If you

need other recipes just let me know, I have the Jewish Cookbook out now

because we're coming up on Hanukkah.

Enjoy! Take care and be well.

honey,

Sounds as though you have your work cut out for you. The kids are

very creative as far as experimenting with different flavors and I

think that's great! My son is still waiting for me to feel better so

I can make pumpkin pie with fresh whipped cream. I just don't have

the strength to dig out the pumpkin so I think I'm going to cheat and

used that canned stuff. Definately not my usual way of doing it but

sometimes there has to be compromise.

There is, by the way, a filling we usually make for both Rugelech and

Hamantaschen that's made with prunes. It actually tastes very good

but tends to clean out the colon at the same time. If you'd like it,

I'd be happy to send it your way. We can also do this by personal

email so no one else has to be bothered with our trading recipes.

Now, go rest before you get too tired and pained, darling. Kiss the

kids, give them a hug from me please; I'm very happy they liked the

cookies/pastries.

Take care and be well.
