Guest guest
I'm trying to figure out if my health problems are being caused by my implants. It seems like everyone's symptoms are different, but I'm wondering if any of you have had similar symptoms to mine. (I've talked to Kacey already, who I believe is a member of this group.) For the last 10 months I've been having burning and tingling in my feet and thighs; recently it spread to my upper body (mostly hands, bicep area, and tongue). Stress and activity make the pain worse and it moves around; for instance, walking makes my feet burn and when I wake up in the morning only my fingers are tingling. I have a strange pain under my left rib that never goes away and I get tired and sick a lot. The various doctors (including neurologists and rheumatologists) I've seen can find nothing wrong with me. All the tests show nothing wrong with my immune system and my mammogram was normal. I most recently met with a rheumatologist who didn't think it's my implants and didn't recommend taking them out as the silicone would already be all over my body. He said he's worked with hundreds of women with implant problems and the ones who did take them out didn't get better. I've read otherwise and assume most of you don't believe that. I've made a couple of different appointments to get explanted but have found excuses to cancel--I guess as much as I want to get better, I feel like I need proof first and maybe I'm not emotionally ready yet. Is there a test I could have done might show something? Also, can anyone recommend a doctor in the Denver area? Thanks. Kate
