I would like to say thanks to Savage for being such an outrageous

piece of work. Thanks to his ridiculous statements on autism the autism

community is up in arms, moving and advocating once again! Since

Savage is a giant zero in our lives and does not have the ability to change

our core issues here in TX lets switch our anger and frustration from the

Savage Nation to the state of Texas.

In this state we not going to get anywhere with any of our issues until we

change how those who develop policy in TX view those with disabilities.

Remember 2/3 of the DAD's budget is spent on the state schools(DAD's budget

is the budget that funds our waiting list and medicaid waivers - basically

the funding for our desperately needed home and community services). Also,

don't forget that the Denton state school is viewed as the state school for

those with autism. Those two issues should anger us way more than some shock

jock talk show host.

Attached is a pdf file of an invitation to the Forgotten Lives film

screening that went to all members of the legislature. It is now our duty to

email those who represent us and strongly encourage the staff to attend this

free showing. The screening is in the Capitol building, it is free and there

will be treats! If you don't know who represents you then click on the link

below. Focus your current frustration and attention from Savage and send it

to Austin.
