New Rheumatologist visit

Hey Everyone!

I took alot of everyones advice on finding a new rheumy,and guess what?! I found

one!! Her name is Herith Narla MD from India,but is working in a small town next

to mine,which is awesome cuz it only takes 45 mins to get to this one instead of

a couple of hours,so anywho......I was super nervous going in (as usual) and in

the room the dr. came she was very short,small in stature and had beautiful

black hair that i said almost looked midnight blue lol and she looked very very

nice,we spent an hour and a half talking,and she listened to all my concerns and

answered all my questions and took alot of notes and did a very thorough

exam,she was great! she recomended taking Imuran for about 4 weeks and then i

should come back to her to see how i am doing on it. but she was just so very

nice,and i cant believe how easy going she was,cuz she told me " whatever you are

willing to try,i am willing to try also " so yeah,thats how my new rheumy appt.

think it went awesomely lol, has anyone else on here tried Imuran? i would like

to know how it has helped/not helped you with stills disease....Well all Thanks

 Glad you had a good meeting with your new Ra doc. just do not forget how a drug

is with any of us is and most likely will not be the same for you being this

best we call stills is so very different for each one of us in how it effects us

and what and how the mix of drugs we use helps us. now that being said I have

always been willing to try almost any thing that my insurance covers so for me

that is not much LOL.  you may want to check your coverage to make sure what

they will or will not cover as some drugs can get a bit spendy. just a FYI. now

how you feel about your new RA doc is how I also felt about mine when I first

met her and to let ya know I still see her and would hate to change from her but

she is also super in that she also works as a SSI advocate and so doing knows

what my insurance will or will not cover and works to stay in that coverage at

all cost if she can . so far so good hope the same for you.
