We are in the middle of a snow/ice blizzard and my hubby is driving up north today.I am scared to death.There are more than 500 school closings and that's in an area that is used to bad winter weather.Please say a little prayer that Bill makes it home and back.Ok I had another heart cath as most of you know, and the cardiologist felt most of my pain was caused be my hiatal hernia,nope!Went to my RD on Wed. and he drained my left knee,dang that hurt!I am becoming such a baby, when it comes to pain,I'm ashamed of myself,so sorry for complaining,there are so many people here in way worse shape than me.Anyway, it seems the pain that I thought was my hernia is not,I don't yet know what it is,but when I bend over like to get something off the floor of the car,it hits and I have to sit as straight as possible and wait for it to go away which takes anywhere from a few seconds to 15 minutes or more!I think it is located where my Aorta is ,but I am going to have a CAT scan in a week or so to see if that is it!I really don't care what it is as long as it can be fixed.I have literally had it for years,but it is getting worse and much more frequent. Guest guest Posted December 20, 2008 Report Share Posted December 20, 2008 Elly two things here and the first one I bet you can not do so here it is .Stop worrying so much as things will be what tehy are going to be and there is not any thing you can do to change it because if there was you would be doing it and being that there is nothing you can do about it what is worrying about it going to do besides make you sick hmmmm? now about the hiatal hernia. the pain you said I get only not so much a pain as a back wash of acid. some times just up to the voice box and some times all the way out and all I have to do is bend over to pick some thing up at times.
