Guest guest
Well, we had our first family vacation in longer than I can recall and a good time was had by all. We went to an indoor water park in the Poconos. We were only there for 24 hours, but that was more than enough time to enjoy it. I actually was able to get into the water (along with go on some slides) without getting chills as it was kept very warm inside! I wore myself out though, and added to my misery last night. After laying down for a couple of hours upon returning home I decided to go out back as I saw my neighbor outside. Well, I don't know if my ankle rolled or my knee buckled but I crashed hard! Now my right lower leg is swollen, my right knee is cut up a bit and both wrists are killing me! At least it happened after going away!!! If anyone near to the Poconos ever gets a chance to go to " Great Wolf Lodge " ....go. It made my body feel pretty damn decent! The place is generally incredibly expensive, but my wife found they do offer affordable deals a few times a year. This was one of those times and it only cost us $131.00 (including tax) for the room for a day. You have to check out the next day by 11:00 AM, but you can stay at the park all of that day if you choose to do so. If you do plan on going, bring yourself some drinks & snacks, along with planning on going out to eat as they RAPE you for EVERYTHING at this place. A friend of ours went a week prior to us and wound up spending almost $90.00 for the dinner buffet, as they charge 25.95 per adult and charged him 15.95 for his 2 year old daughter!!! A cup of coffee (bad coffee at that/Starpukes) cost me $3.45, and a soda was $2.50. We wound up going out to eat (first time I had ribs in ages!) and hit a Wally-World for drinks & snacks to get us through until we left. All in all I'm very happy we went, not only for the " break " but it felt real good to feel like a " family " again! Too bad it isn't possible to do more like this more often, but I can't bitch too much. Hope everyone is doing OK overall. Kirk. -- Everything in life sucks except things that should!
