I cannot pass up the opportunity to brag. My fifteen year old 7/8 Jersey, 1/8 Holstein cow just gave us a beautiful boy!His mom is one of my pride and joy's. She was milked in a commercial dairy until the age of 12, then was purchased as a nurse cow by a friend of mine. I purchased her a year and a half ago, and this is the first calf that she has given me. When I purchased her she had been exposed to a bull, but was open, so no one was sure if she would even breed again. Maebelle has incredible milk production, gives about 40% cream, and her cream makes butter that is neon yellow. She has a perfect udder, and is a dream to milk. She will stay with me forever, and I will be using Reuben for a round of breeding so that I may have more cows with his mothers genetics. His father is an incredibly mellow 4 1/2 year old purebred Jersey. He will be available for sale in October, and I would really like to have him sold by spring, as I am moving. I am asking $1,500 cash for him, or 1 1oz gold coin (american eagle or canadian maple leaf) the last I looked, these could be purchased for around $960.If you are interested in a younger bull, I have two 6 week old purebred Jersey bulls available. These are just getting ready to be weaned, they are eating incredibly well, raised on a an organic cow. These are available for $350 each, or 1/4 oz american gold eagle (currently available for around $260) and are available now.If purebred Jersey's are not your style, I have 4 purebred Holstein bulls, and one 1/2 Holstein, 1/2 Jersey, solid black bull also available now. These are all 12 weeks old, raised on organic Jersey cows, and have been weaned for 6 weeks now. The price on these is either $450 cash, or 3 1/10th ounce american gold eagle coins (available for around $375)Last but not least, if you are looking for beef, I have one very well built, one year old red angus steer availble now. His price is $800 cash, or 1 1/2 ounce and 1 1/10 ounce american gold eagle (available for around $630).I have pictures of Reuben, Maebelle, and Sherman uploaded on my group photo album, If you would like pictures of the holstein, Jersey or cross bulls, or the beef steer, I can provide them. Please contact me if you are interested, or have any questions on how to get the gold.If you are in eastern NM, the texas panhandle, near I40 in oklahoma, or in souther missouri, or northern arkansas we may be able to arrange delivery. The best way to contact me is by email, as I do not have much time to spend on the groups while I am preparing to move.If you are looking for a milking cow, I have friends in Northern NM that have two available right now, one is pretty incredible and available for $3,000. The other had an injury, and has a limp. She is two, just freshened with her second calf, and is hand milking. She is available for $700. This is all of the information that I have on these. But if you would like more information, feel free to go to www.handmilking.com and send Joy and an email - they will answer all of your questions.Happy MilkingReba
