a good day at the fair

We took the kids back to the fair this afternoon. I have to say I was

so impressed with Allie's abilities. She went & stood in line with her

sisters without prompting any more than any other kid. She was big

enough this year, thanks largely to some workers willing to look the

other way, to drive the bumper cars by herself. Was interesting

watching her. She really couldn't reach the peddle, had to lean way

far down. But by the second time she had learned how to steer & push

the gas like a pro. When it was over each time I watched her sit for a

second and look around at what the other kids were doing as far as

getting out & where to exit, then she followed right along.

She didn't tantrum when she was too short for some of the biggest

rides, verbally told us which rides she wanted to do, and patiently

waited in some VERY long lines at times. She waited patiently while

Jess went on the rides she was too short to go on without any problems

at all.

The only bad thing was it was hot and she kept looking like she was

getting too hot. I kept forcing water down her. I guess she got enough

air with the rides to keep her cooled down. When we got home I

scrubbed her from head to toe. I hate all the dirt at fairs.

So I'm starting to get it, if every day could be spent in a swimming

pool and state fair, Allie would never have any problems with

ANYTHING!!!! Lol, wouldn't life be great if it were that easy!
