Guest guest
I tried to make yogurt out of raw cow's milk the same way I do with pasteurized milk - I heated it slowly to steaming, cooled it to about 110 (using a thermometer), added some fresh store bought yogurt and then placed it in my yogurt maker. It's one with 8 6-ounce jars. About 6 hours later, I had something strange...I had jars of what I think is whey (yellowish clear liquid) with blobs of cheesy substance intermixed. I tried pouring it through cheese cloth and leaving it overnight, and I have what appears to be cream cheese or almost feta-like cheese. I wanted yogurt, but it actually tastes pretty good. Can I do something to it to make it into something different? I've never made cheese... LOL.Can anyone speculate as to what happened? Be a better friend, newshound, and know-it-all with Yahoo!
