Guest guest Posted December 22, 2008 Report Share Posted December 22, 2008 If the dr. said leave the mtx at zero...listen to him... i was on mtx and kineret (plus other meds)..i got off the mtx in august?? and i have the worst itch and rash  ever!!  the only thing that seems to help is Aquafor ointment or A & D ointment..i HATE the itchiness!! Diane..42 Rash to pop up. The itch started about 30 day & rsquo;s later. It has really taken a hold on my scalp (nothing else going on there other than major itchiness). The Rash moves around other areas and does not manifest itself as typical Salmon color. It just itches, and comes and goes, sometimes more and sometimes none. Guest guest Posted December 23, 2008 Report Share Posted December 23, 2008 Hi all, I am glad to say that I am in full remission(drug free!!) for 2 yrs now ...but am still dealing with the terrible itchy scalp.I am using a steroid lotion but it never really leaves. Sorry, any advise out there,I could use it too.My derm doesn't seem overly concerned but the itching is really terrible and then when you scratch, you flake, and that is gross too! I never had even slight dandruff before,and am concerned that the steroid use will eventually cause bald patches.Other than my scalp and two small rough patches on my shoulder, the stills( rash and pain & fevers swollen lymphs & enlarged spleen, raw throat )are gone,so I don't feel like I have much to complain about.But any success stories would be appreciated.I feel like it may be a resistant fungal infection, but no one else seems to think so.
