Guest guest
it gets easier the more you do it. well okay for some at lest . just always remember a 4x4 only helps you go forward better not stopping or trunning so drive as slow as if you still had chains on and it is all good. about the 4x4 brace another trick is to add a good 2x4 on top of it to add extra bracing along the length of the roof. snow loads and Mobile homes do not always get along but there also not as weak as some thing . if you want to be extra safe you can do like i did to mine in snow country I added one ever 6 feet tell I could shovel the roof off. take care and hope for some California sun shine . like they say iit never rains in California . who ever said that never lived here except for in the summer hugs the rednecks Marty & G. the redneck's my space http://www.myspace.com/martyg58 To learn about Stills Disease http://www.stillsdisease.org/stills_info For conservitive minded people http://www.americac2c.org " If we ever forget that we're one nation under God, then we will be a nation gone under. Guest guest
Hi , Sorry you have had a bad day. We have had just ice the past two days, we did not lose power and I am surprised we usually always do when we have and ice storm. Our temp here tomorrow is supposed to be in the 60's so I am sure all of ours will melt. You get some rest too!! Hope tomorrow is much better, Hugs, ________________________________ To: Stillsdisease Sent: Wednesday, December 17, 2008 10:59:51 PM Subject: OT: what a stressful day Hi all, Talk about a stressful day. We got over a foot of snow the other day and then again today it was like a blizzard this morning and no power and out of wood and had a doctor appointment almost 100 miles off the mountain. Well the power came on a half hour before we were to leave on the snowy, icy roads and it rained and was windy all the way. Gosh, I was so tense I was hurting so badly by the time we got there this afternoon. Then on the way home it was still raining and when we got back to our mountain it was dark, in the fog and still snowy, icy roads and you couldn't see a thing. But, we made it safe and now is putting up a four by four post in the middle of our living room mobile home because of the snow load on the roof. It's so deep and with his shoulder surgery he cannot get up there to push the snow off. I'm afraid it's going to cave in because we didn't get it fixed yet. Sigh........ . But we have power and are putting up the post so I will be relieved and then can relax. This is a day I don't wish to repeat but when he has these doctor appointments we cannot cancel them because it is work comp and so he has to keep the appointments. I just thank God that the surgery was done over a month ago because I sure as heck could not have been the one driving the four wheel drive around in this stuff. Well, that's my saga for the day. I don't know how you Northerners and Easterners do it every day, and every year. It took it all out of me. Much luck and love to everyone, ____________ _________ _________ _________ _________ _________ _ Save $15 on Flowers and Gifts from FTD!
