Guest guest
We went into Nashville today to St. Hospital and a nationally recongnized specialist for ear problems. I was hoping for a short apt, but of course it wasn't to be that way. But the good news is that we both really liked this doctor and he would be the one to do the surgeries on my ears. Not only that, but he was just totally easy to talk to and put the bigger pieces together etc. He looked at my right ear and said immediately we need to do a CT scan and then explained why. He wants to know how much of my inner ear is damaged by the cyct, if the bones are damaged, how big the cyct (cholestatoma) is, etc. He then drew pictures in a book that he gave to us to keep so that we'd understand all the different procedures depending on what surgeries and what order he does them in. The he said he wanted me to get ear plugs made for showering/swimming that they make there. So we had the forms made for the ear plugs and then went for the CT and got home at 4is... wiped out, but glad the day is done. Now it's just wait until he calls and tells us what the plan is for the next step. I'll update when I know more... alli
