Guest guest
What do you think of the Thor laser? I was thinking of getting one, I was looking into the infared I\one watt, which is the stronger of the ones that they offer. RE: Lasers and LEDS LEDs are affective and Lasers are affective. But they are not the same. Lasers have enormous amounts of research behind them - over twenty years. Lasers have good reports on both intravenous and cutanous blood irradiation. Double blind studies, and all. But not - as you guessed it in the U.S.A. In the USA one may use them personally as any other equipment. Professionally they can be used only as an Investigative Device. The US Customs may refuse entry into the USA but apparently many get through. Lasers from Russia, Lithuanian, China (in use more than 20 years) are about 1/2 of price of those from Japan, Australia and Taiwan and are in all comparisons as good as or better. Canada and Mexico does allow their use. There are a few professionals who use LEDS and quote the research and effectiveness as if they are using a Laser which is not a truth, no matter how well intended and how well a cure is performed. As I stated both are affective. Some professionals (and at least one manufacture of an LED) now claim FDA approval and do bill insurance companies for low level " heat " therapy same as the codes for heat lamp. BTW LED's sell for about a nickel apiece at any Radio Shack and can be hooked up to any 9 volt battery. Just about any Radio Shack clerk could put one together. Most " laser " pointers (really LED) can be affectively used for many disorders (price less than $5) in 1999 and 2000 NASA released their study and claimed effectiveness of the LED's in Space use (Russian cosmonauts been using them for 20 years). As you guessed it NASA did not use the Radio Shack diodes (they're still the same) but had one company design and research them specifically for NASA and now you too can buy one from that company for just under a few hundred dollars plus shipping and handling. LEDs and even Laser Diodes have come drastically down in price and the power is much higher - 500 mW units. LED, Laser, How much power, what frequency, pulsed or continuous, beam size --- all work ! They work on horses they work on previously incurable diabetic wounds and bed ulcers. Amazing. Yet its just like oxygen therapy, rife, zappers, acupuncture, they work miracles but are not the magic bullet. I'm just getting into lasers (2 years professionally) and recently joined this list. I was at a laser medical Conference last year in Helsinki and heard about Singlet Oxygen combined with laser working fantastically together. There are a lot of tools for healing, almost freely available to us all. I don't think our tools are primitive just our thinking (speaking only of myself here). Sorry to ramble, I could dig up those files on NASA and LED's if any body wants them they are in adobe .pdf format. email me privately with " NASA LED " in the subject line and I'll try to get them out. Guest guest
The thor is much more costly than others, However I have spent allot of time with the manufacture on the phone and they seem to be the best. Thank you for the information Ed Kasper wrote: > A big advantage of THOR lasers, aside of their availability and use in > the USA by vets, is that they offer classes and continuing training - in > ENGLAND, but a lot of research and papers and support.
