Guest guest
- thanks for your suggestions Dennis - let's hold it down to a loud roar Blockage or impaction is a serious problem. If you are fortunate to still be ambulatory and exercise, I feel you don't have these problems. To those of us who are not fully functioning and confined to a chair, its a very serious problem. In my previous post I said I was just prescribed the Mestinon and asked for comments from those who had taken it. I was told it was prescribed for patients with Myasthenia Gravis. That alone scared me after reading what that disorder was. The Neurologist said it would help with fatigue and help signals from brain to digestive system to empty stomach sooner, etc. Since we are going to be driving 1600 miles back to Texas in near future, I think I'll wait on this drug. (Yes, he got a job with EDS in Fort Worth...yeah!!!!!!) I have not filled that prescription and will try a daily pill of Colace without fail, prunes with oatmeal and an apple at 3:00 pm and drink 64 oz. of figi water a day. Sounds like a good, healthy way to deal with it. After a trial run of that (no pun intended), I'll see. I don't like throwing medications into my system especially ones for MG...scary to me. However, Neuro said for me just try it that it would not hurt me or do anything adverse to my system. Then, how does he know.... For those comments made by others, maybe a routine will help. I tend to do things when I have all necessary items and when I run out of either product or food forget to re buy or whatever and that's when I get into trouble.
