**** As far as the answer to your direct question, I'll leave that up

to the medical professionals on the list. My take on it is that the

stress of the upcoming competition had more to do with it than the

diet since it didn't sound like she was doing anything all that

different from what many other people are doing who don't experience

the same problems.

Just so things are clearer, her macronutrient breakdown is much

different from what she originally was consuming before her competition

diet. I'm unsure of the exact breakdown, but she is consuming a lot

more protein and a lot less carbohydrates for her competition

dieting. Could too much protein give her symptoms of IBS?
