My daughter, Crystal just turned 4 in Dec. and was diagnosed 9/27/2007 with severe idiopathic scoliosis. She started out with a 64 degree curve. Was braced in October and in 1mo. and 4days of wearing it, her curve went down to 33 degrees. I have read lots about the casting procedure and feel that this is the way to go and so does her orthotist but I am still nervous about it....I am getting ready to complete the application for Shriner's in Chicago...we live in VA but the orthotist highly recommends Dr. Sturm.
