From the time Noah was only a few months old I was concerned about his lower

back. Where normally the spine curves in towards the waist, Noah's curved

out. His pedi was always very closely looking at his back because of Abby and

told me it was nothing to worry about, that as his muscles strengthened, it

would probably resolve. I always just felt something wasn't right so I

pushed for an x-ray. I think he was only about 3 months old. At that time

they

said it was Lumber Kyphosis...but they also saw an 8 degree curve of scoliosis

as well that they said could be positional. At that point I contacted

Abby's ortho and had Noah seen the following week. He seems to think the

kyphosis

will resolve as Noah starts walking but monitors him every three months

along with Abby so hopefully if something is wrong, it will be caught early.

And

now with Ameila being only 4 days old, I know I'll be watching her as well!

Just something that is always on your mind when you already have one child

with IS.

Keeping our finger's crossed!!!!

Great to hear that things are stable for Lucas,It is nice to have a

local contact and a comfort I am sure...Deshea lets chat soon

......

We see Dr Emans in Boston but Adan has been casted from 23 months to

4 year. Now in a Boston brace holding 4 degree in Brace 15 out

started at 38 degrees

We get a 24 hr out Feb 6 th to see what this brace is doing he has

been in it 7 months

We are in Amherst ....formally from Dedham Mass

:

I am wondering when you decided to bring in

Noah for evaluation??Noa

I have a baby girl Abigail 5 months and so far I do not see anything

but I am always nervous. I am doing things with her that i vowed not

to do because i am not sure what external factor created Adan to get

scoliosis so young I am assuming it was from sleeping with me on his

same side for 3 months till I noticed his face flat then rotated him

but I did not see his back till about 9 months..

I am worried if I let Abigail sleep in our bed this might trigger

scoliosis but I love to sleep with her the difference is I keep her

flat on her back and rotated sides thought the night with

feedings....feedings....<WBR>..... The only in the problem with the famil

do tend to get a slight imbalance from the mattress ( I am afarid I

am being to crazy and not want to become insane ) but I want to keep

on top of it and want to be able to enjoy things

Anything you are doing differnet with the kids to prevent it?

Thanks for your advice
