I hope Dylan's bo-bo's heal up very soon. I know he's enjoying life cast-free

for the moment!

Keep us posted

So glad to hear Dylan's has gotten some relief and his skin is getting to heal.

Let us know when you get a date from Chicago. We'll be there Sunday 1/27 at 2pm

for x-rays, then Monday 6AM for outpatient same day surgery. I am praying they

can get Dylan and Jack worked in then too. They will already have the equipment

in the OR, so I would think it would be easier to move a couple other

non-casting kids. Please keep us posted and enjoy your cast free hugs (I sure

am!).

Ugh. Unfortunately, I came down with a cold yesterday and I'm trying to not get

too close to Dylan right now so I don't get him sick before his next casting.

So, my husband got to bathe him and gets to cuddle with him while I watch from

across the room. *sigh*. Oh well, this feels like the kind of cold I'll shake

in a day or two, so hopefully I'll get my cast free cuddles in before the next

cast goes on.

Thanks, girls.

- megadose on vitamin C until you have digestive responses (it

will cause loose stool as it passes through the body). This and some

echinacea tea on the first day of getting sick always cuts it very

short for me. I hope you're feeling much better soon and that he is

able to stay well.

Tina - those pictures look so - owie! Poor baby! :( That's how

Jack was in that one we had to have trimmed locally. It was miserable

for him :(

And, to answer the questions - no, he's still not eating well at all

(he ate four corn kernels tonight at dinner).

Give those soft babies gentle hugs for me tonight. :)

Ok, now this is just a freaky internet coincidence. I just googled ziacam to

see what people thought about if it worked or not and I came across this thread

with your same advice:

http://www.amitymama.com/vb/amity-mama-market/361673-does-ziacam-stuff-really-wo\

rk.html

And then I notice....wait, that looks like . Too weird! :)

I think that is a sign to follow your advice! LOL.

I'm so sorry Sandi. You are between a rock and a hard place. I've

been told this so many times in my life recently - it's just not fair.

Is there anyway they could do some trimming to make him more

comfortable for the next month without losing the correction?? As

Darrell mentions below (trim the rightwing). Dr. Sturm doesn't need

an OR to mark the cast for trimming...at least for us, someone else

did the trimming in a separate room in the office. Another option is

to call the 'orthopedic doc' on call over the weekend, and then you

can actually talk to a doctor about your concerns....and that if

absolutely nothing can be done, you would like to come in Monday for

trimming to see if that might help Jack to be able to eat!

I don't understand how they can wait when he's not eating. That is

serious. I don't know what else to say.
