Guest guest
Did he not have any rotation before? If he didn't just develop the mild rotation, I wouldn' t worry. 8* is near nothing...that's exactly where Evan is. What a blessing! and Evan Tasha Fontenot wrote: Hi everyone, We just got back from 's check-up and xray. He started wearing the brace in September. Guest guest
That is great news! It doesn't sound like the rotation is concerning to the doc. I wonder how much variance there is for that (like +/- 5 degrees on COBB)? What kind of brace is he wearing? Sorry if you already mentioned that in a previous post and I'm just not remembering. Guest guest
Thanks ! He had very little rotation before. His doc is not big on numbers. He concentrates more on what the xray looks like. Like I said he was not real concerned so I am trying not to be either. How much longer does Evan have to wear his brace? Tasha wrote: Did he not have any rotation before? Guest guest
Thanks Tina. I am trying not to freak out over it since his doc is not real concerned. is in a TLSO brace. Not sure about the variance with rotation. Anyway we were happy. Tasha Tina wrote: That is great news! It doesn't sound like the rotation is concerning to the doc. Guest guest
Hopefully he'll be out or atleast less amount of time in brace in March! I wouldn't be concerned then about the rotation...just make sure he calculates the numbers next time and compare it to the previous set of x-rays or you could even call back and express your concern and see if he'd calculate this set of xrays. How much longer will have? Have a great weekend! Tasha Fontenot wrote: Thanks ! He had very little rotation before. His doc is not big on numbers. He concentrates more on what the xray looks like. Guest guest
As far as how much longer in brace.............totally time in brace his doctor said about a year. So September will be a year. His doctor didn't tell us for today's xray that we were to take the brace off last night and let him sleep without it. That way he would have been out of it for a good 12 hours before the xray. So next time we will do that. He mentioned less time in brace, but we will wait to see what the xrays show next visit.
