hand symptoms, testing children

Hi everyone,

I am experiencing a new symptom and was wondering if it is common. My hands

are getting to be painful. The best way to describe the feeling is the way

your hand feels when it is very swollen and you try to make a fist. They feel

very stiff. This just started a few days ago. I never had this feeling other

times (except the time it swelled from an IV).

Also, I have not gotten my son tested. The way I look at it is this... I have

had a great life even with CMT. If I didn't have it, my life still would be

great, I just wouldn't have CMT. If my son starts developing severe symptoms,

then I will get him the help he needs. Otherwise, I don't want to label him.

No matter what happens, it will not change who he is as a person and he too will

have a great life, with or without a CMT diagnosis.
