Guest guest
As for recipes, a lot of them you would have no idea that cottage cheese is an ingredient. Like the crustless pumpkin pie I make or the protein pancakes. As a substitute for cottage cheese alone as a protein source....meat meat meat! tuna, chicken breast, lean beef, pork tenderloin, eggs... you have lots of options other than cottage cheese. Deanna another question Really getting into my reading of this program this morning. Another question I have concerns recipes. I see an awful lot have cottage cheese in them. I really can't stand cottage cheese. I have tried to make myself like it because I know it is good for me. I know that the recipes call for it because of the protein and calcium levels. Any good sub on this one? Guest guest
Hate it or not, cottage cheese is serious muscle food and " lean out " food. You can make Raylene's Jello(recipe in files here I think), or you can mix about a half cup of it into a Myoplex or whatever shake you prefer. You can't taste the CC at all and it also serves as a thickening agent & thus fills you up better. I got kind of tired of eating it plain after six years so have been using 3 48 oz tubs a week mixing it into the protein shakes. Hope this helps because cc is so easy and portable it'd be a shame to leave it off your food list. There aren't too many other foods more virtuous. Guest guest
, Be sure to try different brands. There's only one around here I will eat, Kroger or Ralph's. Some of the other ones are rubbery or taste like chemicals. Once the stuff is in a recipe, though, you really can't taste it--for instance in the pancakes, they do NOT taste like cottage cheese. Guest guest
I am sorry I have been bugging everyone with so many questions lately. I am sure I will come up with something else to ask in the next half hour! I was wondering if anyone knows how much (roughly) it costs to cast at a non-Shriner's hospital- total with anesteology. Dr. is not in our network. With flights, hotels etc. I just want to know how much we might be talking about. Dr. Khoury is in our network. He is at Birmingham, right. That may be an option... Does anyone know his rule of thumb on time in brace after casting? Thanks again, jill ________________________________________________________________________________\ ____ Looking for last minute shopping deals? Find them fast with Yahoo!
