Guest guest
Are they maybe talking about the VEPTR implants??? Of course, that isn't something you'd consider for an idiopathic child who is getting good correction via casting. Noelle (12-2-01) Ian (8-15-04) Any ideas what this treatment would be? Not that we are even considering a different treatment since casting is working (so far!), but I am just curious to know what this email was referring to... Does anyone know what this might be? I got an email from my great- uncle, whose friend sent him this: " ish Rite Hospital in Dallas and some Shriners Hospitals have a correction for Scoliosis that is completed in a few days. Came from Russia several years ago. Treatment for Texas Residents is Free. They occasionally take out of state, but that might be a problem. There is a surgical procedure and some repeat calls, but it takes only a few days and in the long run is really good. Worth checking out with his doctors-- " I have no idea who the person is or what/how much they know about scolisis of any type, much less infantile. Anybody know what are they talking about? Thanks! , Mommy to Todd
Guest guest
Hi , My son, , has been treated at ish Rite in Dallas for almost 2 years now. Whatever this treatment is......I have never heard of it. And it has never been offered to us. I've never read anything about and we have been receiving their news letter since we began treatment there. Interesting.......can you get more details? Guest guest
I will see if my great-uncle can get more details from his friend and post followup here if he can. I'm not sure if the friend knows anything or not--could just be one of those things you sometimes hear from people, well-meaning though they may be! Anyway, we are not looking for or considering other treatment, but I think it's interesting to know what is out there. Plus, if it's for real, even if we don't benefit or need it, someone else might be glad to know about it. , Mommy to Todd Re: Any ideas what this treatment would be? Guest guest
Veptrs came from San . Drs. and Melvin (who died today) invented them for one child who had no rib cage on one side. From that many children have benefited. Shellie Claflin wrote: Are they maybe talking about the VEPTR implants???
