hi, its been awhile since i have responded to all your emails, but i wanted to

ask a few questions. we have a 10 year old boy with generalized anxiety, ocd

and depression he was diagnosised on feb 14 of this year we have been on the

different med swing all summer which compared to alot of you folks hasnt been

long, we had to switch medicines doctors jakes was moving, this doctor also

diagnosised jake as being bi -polar which i think that me any my husband knew

all along, we had even mentioned it to his other doctor the old doc, said that

they never diagnosised children as being bi-polar, i am hoping that we have

finaly found the med for his mood swings he is now on 400mg of seroquel daily

but he started his new med for his ocd which is lexapra it is fairly new has

anyone heard of it and know alot about it, please let me know

Hi Rondy, well these days they do indeed dx kids with bipolar! I'm glad you

have now gotten an accurate diagnosis for your son. That will make all the

difference in finding the right meds at the right doses for him. I hope he is

improving on the seroquel and lexapra, which btw I haven't heard of before

this--let us know how he does.

hi,

i have been on citalopram for 4 years now, started on 10 mgs now at 40 mgs

daily. they r a wonder drug for me. i had severe depression and anxiety and

within 10 days i felt nuetral. within 4-6 weeks i felt liek myself. the onyl

side effect for me was night sweats. i wouldnt be without these pills as i dont

ever want to feel that bad again.
