I have info on the VEPTR II from San . It is only being offered to 4

sites right now to see how it is accepted and how it works for the patients. I

will be adding the info to our VEPTR Parent Manual in the next month or so.

Janet Cerrone at Shriners on another matter the other

day, and asked her about the VEPTR II which I had heard Dr. Betz was

involved in.

Here's what she replied:

" Yes, Dr. Betz was instrumental in VEPTR II development. Phila

Shriner's was the first in the country to implant this new and

improved VEPTR device in a patient about 10 days ago.

Janet "

I'd be happy to request more information if anyone is interested.
